Cinema camera packages prepped and delivered across Korea

Camera gear rental in South Korea routes through a small set of trusted partners. These include ARRI Korea, NAC Image Technology, KW Studio, Hello Pictures Korea, Cinemont, and RED representation in Seoul. Our team books across those inventories to assemble the body, lens, support, and accessory stack a production needs. That stack draws on the ARRI Alexa 35, Mini LF, and Alexa Mini, the RED V-Raptor and Komodo, and the Sony Venice 2 and FX9.

FX6 broadcast bodies sit at the centre of the request list. They are backed by Cooke S4/i and S7/i sets, Zeiss Supreme Primes, ARRI Signature Primes, Angenieux Optimo zooms, and the anamorphic glass that drama features now favour. Each package goes through a logged prep at our site before delivery. We clean the sensor, calibrate the lenses, log the firmware, and condition the batteries. We also format the media to the DIT's workflow, so the first roll on day one does not absorb troubleshooting time.

Global shoots land most of their gear through Incheon Airport cargo. ATA Carnet records are processed via the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Busan port sea freight handles the heavier consolidated shipments that arrive ahead of a multi-week schedule. From our Seoul base, delivery runs same-day within the city and next-day to Suwon, Paju, and Namyangju. We also set up transit to Busan, Daegu, and Jeju for shoots working those areas.

Camera technicians and DITs can be added to the booking. A production might need prep support at The DMC hub, or on-set help during night work on Lotte World Tower exteriors and subway access at Songpa station. Emergency replacement and cross-rental from partner houses run through the same team. This matters when an Alexa Mini LF goes down on day three of a six-day Pyeongchang snow shoot.

FAQ

Camera Rental Expertise

What camera systems are available in South Korea?

We source all major cinema camera systems. From ARRI, we carry the Alexa 35, Mini LF, and Alexa Mini. From RED, the V-Raptor, Komodo, and Gemini. From Sony, the Venice 2, FX9, and FX6. We also stock the Blackmagic URSA series and the Panavision DXL2 and Millennium. Specialty cameras for high-speed, underwater, and aerial work are ready too.

How far in advance should I book camera equipment?

We suggest booking 2-4 weeks ahead for standard packages. For specialized gear or busy periods (May-September), allow 4-6 weeks. We also keep emergency stock, so we can often handle last-minute requests through our rental network.

Do you provide camera technicians with rentals?

Yes, we can arrange qualified camera technicians, DITs, and prep technicians to go with your rental. They provide on-set support, daily camera prep, data management, and troubleshooting throughout your production.

How do you handle equipment for international productions?

We set up the full logistics for global shoots, including ATA carnet processing, customs records, and delivery planning. Our team handles the paperwork so your gear clears smoothly into South Korea.

What's included in camera prep?

Full camera prep covers sensor cleaning, lens calibration, and function tests on all parts. It also includes firmware updates, battery conditioning, and cable and connector checks. We provide detailed reports and confirm that everything is production-ready.

Can you source specialty or vintage lenses?

Yes, we source specialty glass, including anamorphic lenses (Panavision, Cooke, ARRI), vintage rehoused lenses, and unique character glass. We work with specialty rental houses across South Korea and Asia to find the exact look you want.

Productions in South Korea that need this often pair it with Camera Support Systems, Cinema Lens Kits, and Lens Filters for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Grip Equipment and Audio Equipment Rental.
