On Location

Full-service content production in Korea

South Korea offers a production scene that spans historic palaces in Gyeongju, modern architectural sites in Seoul's Gangnam district, and dramatic coastal scenery along the southern shoreline from Busan to Jeju Island. Our team gives full-service content production for global clients across each major format, and we manage crews, gear, and logistics from a single point of contact. We have made television series, commercial campaigns, and digital work across the country. Our local knowledge shortens the path from brief to final delivery.

Every format the K-content economy demands — drama, documentary, commercial, digital — delivered through one Seoul-anchored pipeline with a single point of accountability.

TV Shows and Broadcast Series need careful planning across locations, talent, and Korea's rules for filming, and our production supervisors handle each clearance and scheduling detail. Drama Series shoots gain from our standing relationships with set construction suppliers and costume houses in Seoul. For clients commissioning Documentaries and Docuseries, we source pro contributors, fixers, and translators across Seoul, Busan, and Gwangju. TV Commercials shot on Seoul's streets or at product studio facilities move through our pipeline from concept to delivery with the speed that advertising schedules demand.

Every format draws on its own commissioner and platform. Drama and broadcast work runs through Studio Dragon, KBS, MBC, SBS, JTBC and tvN, while streaming originals come from Netflix, Disney+ and Coupang Play. Music videos and digital content serve K-pop labels and brand channels, and the Hallyu wave keeps demand high across all of them. Our team knows the slot dates, notes cycle and tech specs each buyer carries, so we match every shoot to its release window.

Studios and locations anchor the work. We block interiors at the Digital Media City hub in Mapo, the Paju Studio Cube and Namyangju Studio Tricky, and shoot exteriors at the Joseon-era palaces, Bukchon Hanok Village, the Han River parks, Hongdae and Seongsu. Wider Korea adds the Busan districts of Haeundae and Centum City, Jeju Island, and Gangwon Province. Permits clear through the Seoul Film Commission, the Busan Film Commission, and the Korea Heritage Service for heritage sites.

Crews and gear scale to fit the brief. We field separate teams for broadcast, K-drama, commercial and digital, each with its own format know-how. They shoot on ARRI Alexa Mini, Sony Venice and RED packages, with Movi Pro gimbals and Teradek Bolt links from the major Seoul rental houses. From a single-operator social shoot up to a 150-strong feature unit, we build the right crew and coordinate drone work with MOLIT and safety with KOSHA.

Scheduling and incentives shape every budget. We route exterior and heritage days toward the prized spring blossom and autumn colour, and hold studio cover for the summer monsoon and the winter cold. The KOFIC incentive offers a cash rebate on qualifying Korean spend, and KOCCA supports K-content projects; we guide clients through who qualifies and how to claim. Billing runs in Korean Won with 10 percent VAT, and our Seoul post facilities deliver editing, grading, Dolby Atmos sound and VFX to broadcast, theatrical and streaming specs.

FAQs

Content Production FAQs

Common questions about our content production services, capabilities, and process.

What types of content do you produce in Korea?

We cover the full range: K-dramas and tight series for Korean TV networks and Netflix, documentaries for global platforms, TVC campaigns for Korean and global brands, corporate films, social content, K-pop music videos, and Seoul Fashion Week coverage. Each format needs its own workflow, so we set crew sizes by content type rather than a one-size-fits-all method.

Can you handle international productions shooting in Korea?

That is the core of what we do. Most of our clients are US, European, Japanese, and Chinese shoots bringing projects to Korean locations. We handle the local side—crew, gear, permits, locations, vendors—while you focus on the creative. Bilingual production management means nothing gets lost in translation between your team and Korean departments.

What's your typical production timeline?

Commercials move fast and take two to three weeks from brief to wrap once locations are ready. Each block of TV episodes needs 4 to 6 weeks of prep. Dramatic content that stays within studio limits takes about eight weeks to shoot, while period shoots need 12 to 16 weeks for many locations and set builds. We have handled rush jobs when schedules demand it, but realistic prep time mostly saves money in the long run.

Do you provide post-production services?

Our Seoul facilities run offline editing, then online conform, DaVinci grading, Pro Tools sound work, mixing, and VFX oversight. The whole shoot-and-post process happens in one place in Korea. We deliver your post in any format your post house needs for distribution.

How do you handle permits and locations in Korea?

The Seoul Film Commission and local district offices manage every permit record we need. Our location team has built relationships across Korea over years of shoots. We know which spots allow filming, which Seoul streets can be locked down, and where seasonal limits apply. We handle the paperwork so you get the locations you need.
