SCENE 01 / MULTI CAMERA SETUPS

Multi-Camera Setups

Professional live event coverage and multi-camera production across Korea.

Scroll

Multi-camera setups run two or more cameras at once for full coverage of scenes, events, or performances. Our work spans K-pop concerts at Gocheok Sky Dome and KSPO Dome, K-drama broadcasts, and the Busan International Film Festival. This approach speeds up the shoot, keeps each performance scene matched, and gives editors many angles from every take.

We build multi-camera rigs with matched camera bodies, synced settings, and linked monitor kit across Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and Daegu. Our team works alongside the broadcast setup tied to Busan Cinema Studios, Art Service Studios in Paju, and the LED volumes at XON Studios. Together they support Korea's world-leading K-content production scene.

Korean multi-camera coverage for K-drama broadcasts and K-pop concerts

Multi-camera setups in South Korea draw on the production base around the country's broadcast capitals: MBC at Sangam, KBS at Yeouido, SBS at Mokdong, and JTBC at Sangam. K-drama studios sit at Studio Cube in Paju, beside the LED stages of XON and Art Service. Three- to twelve-plus camera rigs cover K-drama variety shows and K-pop concerts at KSPO Dome, Gocheok Sky Dome, Jamsil Arena, and Seoul World Cup Stadium.

That list takes in Knowing Bros and Running Man, live broadcasts from SBS Open Hall, and the awards ceremonies that anchor the Korean entertainment calendar. Jibs, jimmy jibs, POV units, wireless RF cameras, and stabilised gimbal heads feed matched camera bodies into a vision-mixed program output. Synced settings and linked tracking tie every position together.

Directors and tech managers from the Korean TV networks freelance pool run the live switching, vision mixing, graphics, replay systems, and IMAG screen feeds for in-venue audiences. Bilingual planning supports global shoots. OB vans running KT Media and Mobinside setups carry switching desks, tracking, and audio mixing. They also bring the fibre and cellular links Korean venues need for live delivery.

Streams reach Korean sites such as Naver TV, Tving, Wavve, and Coupang Play, with YouTube, Twitch, and satellite uplink for broadcast. Major events are mostly booked six to eight weeks ahead to lock in gear and crew. Smaller multi-camera shoots can come together inside one or two weeks. Productions that qualify for the K-content cash rebates can count multi-camera day rates as eligible spend.

Our camera package starts with matched bodies on one shared timecode and genlock spine. Cinema rigs such as the ARRI Alexa Mini and Sony Venice cut against broadcast PTZ heads and stabilised gimbals for the roving angles. Teradek Bolt links carry the wireless RF cameras into the mixer. Sound Devices recorders hold the audio bed. Power runs off the venue's 220-volt, 60-hertz mains with generator backup for outdoor stages. We pre-rig and label every cable run before the first rehearsal.

We carry the on-site safety and permit load so the show stays compliant. A KOSHA-aligned officer signs off the camera towers, jib counterweights and the cable runs across crowd paths at Gocheok Sky Dome or Seoul World Cup Stadium. Any aerial top-shot, which needs MOLIT drone clearance, is filed ahead of show day. We price each event in Korean Won with the ten per cent VAT shown clearly. Deliverables ship as the switched master, clean ISO recordings and full timecode logs for the editor.

FAQ

Live Production Expertise

How many cameras can you deploy?

We often run setups from 3 to 12+ cameras based on event scale. For major K-pop concerts at Gocheok Sky Dome or KSPO Dome, we can deploy large camera packages with specialty positions like jibs, roving cameras, jimmy jibs, and POV units.

Do you provide live switching and direction?

Yes. Our multi-camera packages include skilled vision mixers and directors who switch between cameras live to create a polished edit. We can deliver a switched program feed, ISO recordings, or both.

Can you live stream our event?

Yes. We offer full live streaming, including encoding, CDN delivery, and platform setup for YouTube, Naver, V LIVE, and other Korean platforms. We can also provide satellite uplink for broadcast.

What about IMAG for live audiences?

We provide IMAG (Image Magnification) for K-pop concerts and events. Live camera coverage feeds to the venue screens so audiences can see close-ups of performers and speakers.

Do you have OB van facilities?

We work with pro OB (Outside Broadcast) vans fitted with switching desks, tracking, audio mixing, and all the kit a shoot needs. Korea's K-pop industry runs some of the world's most skilled concert OB van fleets.

How far in advance should we book?

For major K-pop events and broadcasts, we suggest booking 6-8 weeks ahead so the gear is free. Smaller multi-camera shoots can often be set up with 1-2 weeks notice.

Productions in South Korea that need this often pair it with Live Streaming, Virtual Reality Filming, and Volumetric Capture for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Competition & Reality Show Production and Multi-Camera Shoots.
