SCENE 01 / GIMBAL FILMING

Gimbal Filming Services

Smooth, stabilized camera movement for dynamic cinematography across Korea.

Scroll

Gimbal filming uses motorized, stabilized camera rigs that give fluid, shake-free movement while you follow the action. The range runs from handheld units for light mirrorless cameras up to heavy-lift rigs that carry full cinema packages. These rigs open up lively shots across South Korea, from Seoul's Gangnam and Myeongdong districts to Busan's coastal setups, Jeju Island and the Bukchon Hanok Village.

We supply gimbal systems and skilled operators across South Korea. Our gear is staged out of Busan Cinema Studios, the country's best-kitted soundstage with virtual production, plus Art Service Studios in Paju and the Seoul Studio Complex. Our team matches gear and crew to your shoot, whether that is a Ronin 2 for a Myeongdong walk-and-talk or a heavy-lift MoVI for a K-Drama claiming the Korea Location Incentive of up to 30%.

On Location

Smooth tracking shots across Korea's busiest locations

Gimbal filming is now the go-to tool for the long, kinetic takes that define today's K-drama and K-feature work. Think walk-and-talks through Gangnam and Myeongdong, tracking shots inside Bukchon Hanok Village, action coverage on Busan's Haeundae beachfront, and reveal moves across Jeju's volcanic coastline. Our ops run the full DJI Ronin line, namely the Ronin 2, RS3 Pro and RS4 Pro, plus the Freefly MoVI Pro and MoVI Carbon.

We also carry Tilta Gravity rigs for light mirrorless setups, with heavy-lift builds that hold ARRI Alexa Mini LF, RED V-Raptor and Sony Venice 2 cinema packages. Wireless follow-focus lets a focus puller drive the lens on their own, and wireless tracking gives directors a live feed from the gimbal head. Our ops come from Korean pro crews such as NAC Image, KW Studio and Hello Pictures Korea, with credits across major K-drama shoots and global features shot at Busan Cinema Studios.

Gear ships out of our Seoul and Busan production bases. The list takes in Busan Cinema Studios with its virtual production LED volume, Art Service Studios in Paju and the Seoul Studio Complex. We match crew and gear to the shoot rather than offer a one-size kit list. That might mean a single-op Ronin for a Myeongdong walk-and-talk, a MoVI Pro with a cinema package for a Studio Dragon series, or a heavy-lift rig paired with Steadicam coverage when the storyboard calls for both looks.

Korea's pace of production rewards quick balancing and fast lens changes, so our ops arrive prepped with backup gimbals and the spare batteries that twelve-hour days demand. Productions claiming the Korea Location Incentive of up to thirty percent, or the K-content cash rebates, get the records their financiers and TV networks expect.

FAQ

Stabilized Cinematography Expertise

What gimbal systems do you provide in South Korea?

We run all major gimbal platforms, including the DJI Ronin 2, RS3 Pro, RS4 Pro, Freefly MoVI Pro and MoVI Carbon, out of our Seoul and Busan bases. The right system depends on your camera weight, lens needs and how complex the shot is.

Can you support heavy cinema cameras?

Yes. Our heavy-lift gimbals carry the ARRI Alexa Mini LF, RED V-Raptor, Sony Venice 2 and similar cinema cameras used on K-Drama and K-Film shoots across Studio Dragon and Busan Cinema Studios. We handle proper balancing and power for long shoots.

Do you provide operators or just equipment?

We supply skilled gimbal operators as standard, drawn from South Korea's fast-growing Asian talent pool. Our operators know both the tech systems and the camera craft that makes movement smooth and purposeful.

What shots work best with gimbals?

Gimbals shine on walk-and-talk sequences, tracking through spaces, following action, reveal shots, and long takes with movement. They give smooth motion while keeping a mobility that dolly or Steadicam setups cannot match.

How do gimbals compare to Steadicam?

Gimbals are lighter, quicker to set up, and more mobile than Steadicam. However, Steadicam gives a different look and feel and can hold heavier cameras. We can advise on the best fit for your shots.

Can you integrate wireless follow focus?

Yes. We add wireless follow focus to gimbal setups, so a focus puller can control the lens from afar while the operator stays focused on movement. We also support wireless video tracking.

Productions in South Korea that need this often pair it with 360° Video Production, Virtual Production, and Thermal Imaging for full coverage. Most projects also draw on LED Lighting Systems and Director of Photography Services.
