Specialty Camera Rigs

Advanced rigging solutions for your Korean production.

Scroll

Specialty rigs are purpose-built car platforms designed for mounting cameras and capturing dynamic driving, chase, and motion sequences. From Russian arms and camera cars to process trailers and insert cars, these rigs enable complex moving shots that would be impossible with standard gear.

We source specialty camera rigs and cars from skilled local operators who know the safety and tech needs of car-mounted filming. Our team sets up rig availability, tech specs, and logistics to make sure your unit can capture dynamic vehicular sequences safely and efficiently.

Camera-vehicle rigging for Korean action and commercials

Specialty camera rigs underpin almost each action and automotive sequence shot in South Korea, from drift-style commercials filmed on closed sections of expressway to feature pursuits weaving through the curving access roads of Namsan and the seaside corniches of Busan's Haeundae and Gwangalli.

Our rigs have Russian arms and pursuit arms mounted on tracking cars set to legal-speed shooting under KEC and local police planning, plus cable cam and wire cam systems for aerial coverage across stadiums and outdoor concert venues. Bolt-style motion-control arms suit high-end commercial product work in studios at Digital Media City and Paju. Each rig pairs with a remote head and camera package tied to the production's chosen sites, whether ARRI Alexa Mini, Sony Venice, RED Raptor or other high-speed bodies.

Compatibility between rig and camera is settled before the shoot day. Our remote heads and arm payloads are rated for the body and lens you intend to fly, and we confirm power, mount, and control protocols across the package. Imported heads arriving on an ATA Carnet are matched to 220V mains and our cabling on the bench first. Movi Pro gimbals and tracking-car mounts are balanced to your chosen lens set, so the action unit rolls without on-set reconfiguration.

Safety planning sits at the centre of each specialty rig booking. Korean stunt team leads, KOSHA-recognised rigging supervisors and the camera-car ops on our roster run integrated risk assessments before the shoot, file safety forms with the regional permit office and brief drivers on the closure plan for whichever expressway section, mountain pass or city block the unit is using.

Custom rigs — crash housings, POV mounts, side-by-side and process-trailer configurations — are fabricated by our grip and rigging partners for shots that off-the-shelf gear can't deliver. Each booking carries backup arms and remote heads, with operators on call to rebuild a rig between setups. Full insurance records go to the producer for global financiers, and the same crew supports multi-day schedules that move between studio motion-control days and exterior chase sequences without losing rig scene matching.

Pricing is quoted in Korean Won with 10% VAT itemised on every line. Daily and run-of-show rates cover the rig, while operator crews, custom fabrication and standby units are costed transparently up front. Production insurance is required and can be arranged through us or your own broker. For qualifying foreign productions, we format rig-rental records to support KOFIC incentive and cash rebate claims, so specialty-equipment spend stays documented from prep through wrap.
