Talent Coordination

Setting up talent in South Korea means working inside one of the most agency-driven entertainment markets in the world. Our team holds working ties with major Seoul agencies clustered around Gangnam and Cheongdam-dong. We also reach the TV network talent pools at KBS, MBC, and SBS in the Digital Media City hub. On top of that, we work with the Busan casts that move through the Busan International Film Festival scene. We handle call-time sheets and fittings at Korean costume houses. On-set holding runs through studio complexes such as Namyangju Studio Tricky and Paju Studio Cube, plus the rental stages across Goyang and Incheon. We treat each cast member's day as a chain of timed handoffs from pickup through wrap.

Daily work covers ground transport between Incheon Airport and Seoul hotels in Myeongdong or Itaewon. Locations stretch from Bukchon to the DMZ, Jeju, and the mountains of Gangwon Province. We manage per diems in line with Korean tax rules. Our team also sets up K-ETA and visa applications for inbound performers. We brief talent on local etiquette too, from the use of honorifics on set to how to act around royal palaces and hanok districts.

We schedule wardrobe, makeup, and hair calls against recognised working hours and the Labor Standards Act, with a team lead on call through each shoot day. High-profile bookings get extra layers of privacy, security routing through hotel back-of-house, and quiet movement through fan-heavy districts like Hongdae and Insadong.

Coordination begins long before the first call time, while the schedule is still taking shape. We collect each performer's availability and read it against agency holds and other bookings. Korean talent often juggle drama, variety, and commercial work in the same window, so early locks matter. We build a per-talent day plan that ties pickup, fitting, rehearsal, and wrap into one timeline. That plan feeds the master stripboard, so the first AD can see at a glance which cast member is free on any given shoot day.

Talent logistics carry their own compliance load, and we manage it from the start. Inbound performers need the right entry route, whether a K-ETA or a visa tied to a work permit. We confirm each one well ahead of travel and keep the paperwork on file. Minors on set follow Korean child performance rules on hours and guardian presence, and we build the schedule around them. Where a shoot claims the KOFIC incentive, we keep talent records clean and traceable so they hold up under later review.

At wrap we hand the production a clean talent file for accounting and the edit. It records actual call and wrap times, meal breaks, and any overtime for each performer. Per diem ledgers reconcile in Korean Won against the agreed payment terms with each agency. Signed releases and travel records sit beside them, indexed by cast member and scene. Our coordinators also run post-shoot follow-up, from returned wardrobe to ADR call-backs, so nothing about your cast is left open once the unit moves on.
