Streaming Platform Delivery

Streaming delivery for shoots filmed in South Korea spans two worlds at once. At home, the field is led by Tving, Wavve, and Coupang Play. Each one keeps its own ingest specs, metadata needs, and artwork rules made for Korean-language viewers. The global side covers Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, and HBO Max. Each global service runs as an approved-vendor framework. That means strict tech acceptance rules, IMF-based ingest, and its own quality control gates. Our delivery team keeps current spec sheets for all of them. We then build masters, supplementals, and metadata packages to match what each service asks for.

Interoperable Master Format (IMF) packages are now standard for the top global streamers. We assemble full CPLs, supplemental packages, and version trees. These handle Korean-first audio and dubbed tracks for global regions. They also carry many subtitle formats (SRT, TTML, WebVTT, IMSC) and forced narrative overlays for non-Korean dialogue. HDR is supported natively across HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. Dolby Atmos and immersive audio run alongside for services that need them. Each package goes through automatic, platform-specific QC before we send it. We also keep delivery logs. With them, re-versioning, supplemental updates, and rights extensions trace back to one trusted record, not scattered email threads months later.

South Korea's profile on the global streamers is unusually high. Hallyu titles travel worldwide, and the success of shows like Squid Game has put Korean originals at the centre of Netflix and other platform slates. That demand raises the technical bar on every delivery. Our team treats each Korean original as a flagship handoff. We hold current spec sheets, track platform spec changes, and build masters that clear acceptance on the first pass, not after a round of fixes.

Mastering for streaming runs from facilities around Digital Media City in Seoul and the post houses near Yeouido. Our delivery editors finish in DaVinci Resolve and conform in Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premiere Pro, matched to the route the project already took. From those suites we build the streaming master, encode the platform file, and assemble the IMF package. Keeping delivery close to the grade and the mix protects the look and sound set during finishing.

Audio and subtitle handling shapes a clean global release. Korean dialogue often needs dubbed tracks and subtitle files for many markets. We sync each language element, build forced narratives for non-Korean lines, and check loudness against each platform's target. Subtitle timing is verified against the locked picture. Every text and audio asset is named to the platform's own scheme, so the ingest pipeline accepts the full package without manual repair.

Quality control and secure handover close the delivery. We run automatic, platform-specific QC for video levels, audio, captions, and file structure, then add a human watch pass on the full programme. Files move through encrypted transfer with verified receipt at each step. Delivery and re-versioning are quoted in Korean Won, with the standard 10% VAT. Each delivery keeps a full log, so a later supplemental, dub drop, or rights extension traces back to one trusted record.
