Here is how this works in practice. Runners and set production assistants are the workhorses of any production day. In South Korea they are typically drawn from the The DMC hub agency systems that feed Studio Dragon, JTBC Studios, CJ ENM and the busy commercial industry that runs around Gangnam and Hongdae. Our PAs hold valid Korean driving licences, know the Seoul Ring Expressway and the city's notoriously busy arterial roads.

Here is the short of it. Have done enough gear runs between Hapjeong rental houses and locations across Itaewon, Yeouido and the southern districts to handle the unpredictable rhythm of a Korean shoot. They distribute call sheets, manage walkies, support lock-ups, look after talent holding, ferry paperwork between teams. Keep craft and basecamp tidy through the day.

Here is the breakdown. For global productions, our runner roster is curated to include two-language PAs who can bridge English-speaking ADs. Plus the Korean-speaking vendor and crew network on the ground. They are familiar with the practical realities of filming through Korea's four seasons. The typhoon season around Busan and Jeju, sub-zero winter shooting in Gangwon.

The heat and humidity of Seoul summers — and they anticipate gear, weather and access needs rather than waiting to be asked. We staff runner teams scaled to the size of the shoot, from a single PA on a one-day commercial to a teams of fifteen on a feature crowd day at Busan Cinema Studios or Art Service Studios. We keep a reserve list ready for short-notice replacements throughout principal photography.
