Green screen filming isolates performers and props against chroma key backdrops so that virtual environments and visual effects can be composited in post. South Korea now runs one of Asia's deepest stage networks for the technique.

Busan Cinema Studios gives the country's best-equipped sound stage with virtual production infrastructure on site, Art Service Studios in Paju runs three dedicated stages with cyclorama walls, the Seoul Studio Tricky in The DMC hub supports K-drama and K-pop production at scale. CJ Powercast Studio rounds out the Seoul site list. Studio Cube in Paju, the country's top LED volume site, also supports green screen and hybrid configurations when shoots need to switch techniques between setups.

Clean keys depend on even backdrop lighting, careful talent separation and tight spill control. Our Korean gaffers bring that experience from K-drama series, Hollywood shoots that have shot in Korea and the global commercials that pass through The DMC hub. Lighting packages run flicker-free HMI and tunable LED units with colour science tied to the downstream pipeline. Our crews place tracking markers, capture reference photography and shoot HDRIs for the VFX supervisor at handoff.

Footage moves directly into the post pipelines at Locus (the Naver-owned site), Westworld, U5K Imageworks, VA Studio, Welike and XON Studios, the XR-stage pro that also handles LED volume work. KOFIC forms for the incentive run in parallel for qualifying K-content shoots, with KOFIC and the Seoul Film Commission handling the supporting records.

Camera and lighting choices drive key quality from the first setup. We shoot ARRI Alexa Mini, Sony Venice, and RED Raptor bodies for the resolution and colour depth a clean composite needs. Astera Titan tubes and tunable LED panels light the backdrop flat, while separate units shape the talent and kill spill. Korea's 220V, 60Hz mains feeds matched distribution across the stage. We brief the gaffer on the downstream pipeline so the on-set colour science lines up with what the VFX team expects at handoff.

On-stage safety and clean delivery close the loop. Cyclorama work means rigging, grip, and cable runs that follow KOSHA on-set practice, with clear paths for cast and crew. We mark tracking points, shoot reference and HDRIs, and capture clean plates for the compositors. Each clip ships with metadata, lens and camera data, and the records the VFX supervisor needs.
