On Location

Editorial services for Korean productions

Editing footage shot in South Korea often means blending many contrasting locations. A shoot may mix the urban density of Seoul's central districts, the open coast sets near Busan's Haeundae, and the quieter historical settings of Gyeongju or Suwon. Our edit team manages this tangle from the earliest assembly stages through to picture lock. Structured project setups and clear versioning let clients anywhere in the world follow progress and give feedback at each cut. Secure online review links go out at every stage.

Video Editing services span all formats and genres. Our editors know both Korean drama pacing and the global documentary and commercial styles that overseas clients want. The Rough Cut to Final Cut process is built around scheduled review milestones. These give directors and producers set points to shape the story before it moves to sound and colour. For broadcast series shot across many blocks, our Multi-Cam Sync Editing service brings all camera feeds into clean, time-coded timelines ready for the offline editor. Narrative and Documentary Editing is handled by pros who know the demands of both scripted and observational formats.

We place each project with editors at the right facility for the work. Many sit in the Digital Media City hub in Mapo, close to the major broadcasters, or in the suites near Yeouido and Mokdong. Boutique post houses around Seongsu and Gangnam handle commercial and short-form jobs. Keeping the cut near the right talent and the downstream stages shortens feedback loops. It also keeps the offline schedule steady from first assembly through to lock.

Our editors work across the industry-standard tool set. Avid Media Composer carries long-form drama and series, Adobe Premiere Pro suits fast-turnaround and mixed-media jobs, and DaVinci Resolve links straight into finishing. We pick the toolchain to match the route the project will take through colour and sound. Project files stay tidy, with clear bin structure and version naming, so any editor or finishing house can pick up the timeline without guesswork.

Korean entertainment formats set a demanding editorial pace. Variety, music, and drama work for KBS, MBC, SBS, and JTBC each carry their own rhythm and house style. Our editors know these conventions and also the slower, layered builds that overseas documentary and brand clients expect. We brief each editor on the audience and the platform first. That way the cut serves both the Korean market and the global release from the same source material.

Every edit ends with a clean handoff to the next stage. We deliver picture-locked timelines with ordered EDLs, AAFs, and XMLs for conform, plus split dialogue tracks for the sound mix. Masters are exported to the formats each destination needs, from broadcast files for the Korean networks to streaming-spec deliverables. Editorial work is quoted in Korean Won, with the standard 10% VAT, and remote review keeps clients in any time zone close to each cut.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What footage formats and codecs do you work with?

We handle all pro camera systems, including ARRIRAW, RED R3D, Sony X-OCN, Canon Cinema RAW Light, and every flavor of ProRes, DNxHD, and H.264/H.265. Our systems support 4K through 8K workflows, HDR color pipelines, and log/RAW footage.

Can we review remotely with your editors?

Yes. We use Frame.io, Evercast, or your preferred remote review platform for live sessions with your team anywhere in the world. Our schedule fits your timezone and sets regular review milestones.

What if we need changes after final delivery?

We set revision rounds upfront in the project agreement, usually 2-3 rounds of notes through picture lock. Extra changes beyond the agreed scope are welcome, and we quote them separately.

Do you handle conform for VFX and color grading?

Yes. We give full conform services and run round-trip workflows between editorial, VFX, and grading. Each project file is well sorted, with all metadata, EDLs, XMLs, and AAFs intact for downstream departments.
